Shawnuff tutors are experienced teachers and designers of courses and course materials.


Dorothy Shaw is an experienced jazz pianist who has a Diploma in Music Education (2011) and has designed, iimplemented and taught on many jazz courses at Abingdon Music Centre, East Oxford Community Centre and The Matrix, Sutton Courtenay. She has also taught privately for over 25 years.


George Haslam is a well-known and respected baritone sax player and educator, having led 2 ensembles at Abingdon Music Centre: Group Sax and Swingtime big band.  He also teaches saxophone (all types) privately and runs SLAM records, an independent jazz record label. 


Trish Elphinstone is a proficient soprano and alto saxophonist leading her own quintet, who has also years of experience of teaching both privately and in groups, running workshops in Oxford and teaching on prevoius Shawnuff courses at Abingdon.  Please see the LInks Page for details.
